TIS
Tis the season to be jolly!!! Christmas is one if not my favorite holiday. I love taking the time to decorate the Christmas tree, I love driving throughout neighborhoods to see the beautifully decorated homes, and I love listening to Christmas music and watching Hallmark Christmas movies.
As a native of Louisiana, I enjoy eating gumbo and the family games we play throughout Christmas Day. I love celebrating the night that Christ was born.
With an increase in marketing, analytics, and trends, companies are now able to be proactive in the way that they promote Christmas in regards to decorations, gifts, and endless sales making it easy to forget the Christ in Christmas. It becomes easier to forget the need for self-reflection, family, food, and fun.
Christ's birth causes for a celebration, the abundance of grace and mercy he provides us deserves to be celebrated YEAR AROUND. Tis the season to be jolly. As I researched the definition of "tis" which means "it is"- it is the season to be jolly! Yes, this season gives us a reason to be jolly and we should make it a point not to limit our jolliness to just one season, because of who Christ is and what he has done our jolliness should be transferred from season to season.
Below I shared some things to remember as we celebrate Christmas, these things are also transferrable to implement throughout the year as well.
C-Christ is born!!
H-Hug and kiss the ones you love
R-Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in ALL circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
I-Invest your time in giving back
S-Share your smile and talents with the world
T- Tis the season to be jolly so is every other season to be jolly and thankfulness never goes out of style
M-Make time to pause. Make time to reflect- trust me YOU ARE WORTH IT
A- And let's not forget to FORGIVE ourselves and others
S- Stay spreading and celebrating Christ throughout the year, not just in this season! Christ deserves the praise!
Happy Holidays To All-Stay Crowned Kings and Queens
