May your legacy live on through me. You continue to reign, and I hope this platform enables others to grasp your lessons of confidence, self-advocacy, teaching, love, and legacy. Rest in peace.
As the granddaughter of the late Emmett Lee King, my grandfather instilled in my sister and me the significance of lifelong learning. I encountered a time when I strayed from those teachings, leading to feelings of brokenness, heartache, depression, and diminished self-worth.
To navigate those dark moments, I began using the hashtag #tzjselfmotivationmoment (tzj- T’Edra Zachelle Jackson) to seek words of encouragement. I felt compelled to share my struggles in an effort to inspire others through positive social media posts. It dawned on me that #tzjselfmotivationmoment should extend beyond my own journey, serving everyone in need.
Kingsskid serves as a reminder that we are all children of the King, reflected in the first "S," while the second "S" pays tribute to my grandfather and the invaluable lessons he imparted. Kingsskid signifies that God creates, protects, upholds, and crowns us with victory in all situations.
